Company Joins Four Other Cybersecurity Vendors in Premier Forum for CISOs and Industry Leaders to Learn About Innovative Security Technologies
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 7, 2017 – Blue Cedar, the leading provider of enterprise mobile app data security, today announced that it has been selected to participate in Security Current’s signature event, the Security Shark Tank®.
Robert Herjavec, founder and CEO of leading MSSP Herjavec Group, will serve as the host and moderator for the event, which will take place on February 14, 2017 in San Francisco during the week of RSA Conference 2017.
Blue Cedar is one of five cybersecurity companies participating in the event, which provides Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) with an opportunity to learn about new technologies, while providing vendors invaluable feedback from these thought leaders. Given the recent exponential growth in the number of vendors in the enterprise security market, CISOs use Security Shark Tank events to get exposed to a group of innovative solutions that protect their enterprises in novel and disruptive ways.
“The Security Shark Tank is recognized as the leading forum for CISOs to learn about cutting edge technologies. The rapid-fire exchange between the CISOs and participating vendors provides a unique opportunity for the security executives to hear questions and answers from a diverse and seasoned group of their peers. We are thrilled to have innovative companies such as Blue Cedar participating and we are looking forward to another exciting and valuable event,” said Security Current CEO Aimee Rhodes.
Blue Cedar helps organizations to evolve from device-centric to data-centric mobile security, by establishing security, control and visibility over access to sensitive data via mobile apps and by transitioning from intrusive and complex device controls to data, or app-centric controls, which are transparent to end users. The company’s flagship solution is the fastest, easiest and most secure platform from which organizations can provide secure access to apps for their employees and non-employees across the extended enterprise. Blue Cedar received $10 million in Series A funding in 2016 to advance its vision of the app as the new endpoint. The company took part in Security Shark Tank events in Chicago and New York during 2016 and was recently ranked by Momentum Partners among the top 10 private cybersecurity companies to watch in Q4 2016.
“We’re very excited to take part in Security Shark Tank in San Francisco,” said John Aisien, CEO of Blue Cedar. “Our solution is differentiated by its military-grade security, frictionless usability and comprehensive protection of mobile app data. It is gratifying to see our innovative spirit recognized in such a key industry forum.”
