Mobile App Security

Blue Cedar Mobile App Security is ideal for BYOD environments as it provides IT with control over sensitive business information in mobile apps even on devices without mobile device management (MDM) controls. Use it stand alone or to extend the reach of Security Service Edge (SSE) deployments to unmanaged devices. Blue Cedar Mobile App Security consists of Blue Cedar Enforce and Blue Cedar Connect, which can be used together or independently of each other.

Enforce App Protection

Blue Cedar Enforce protects corporate data in mobile apps on managed and unmanaged endpoints by enabling IT with the ability to enforce device-independent file encryption, data loss prevention and local app authentication policies.

Blue Cedar Enforce also assesses the trust levels at mobile apps by correlating identity and posture information. Identity is federated with Azure Active Directory, Ping or the Blue Cedar Platform, and authentication uses OAuth, certificates, or username and password. Collected posture information includes OS version, jailbroken/rooted device detection, and presence of device screen lock. App-level data protection policies can be dynamically modified based on these trust levels.

Connect Securely

Blue Cedar Connect is an in-app Zero-Trust Access client. Embed Blue Cedar Connect into mobile apps to enable secure network access from unmanaged and managed devices without the need for an additional ZTNA client.

Use it to enable seamless, secure, mobile-optimized access to firewalled data without any need for a separate remote-access client. Unleash its full capabilities by using app-level trust information to create a complete ZTNA solution for the mobile edge. Blue Cedar Connect performs the same trust level assessment as Blue Cedar Enforce does.

Blue Cedar Connect works with existing gateway equipment, including Cisco ASA. For new installations, consider the Blue Cedar Connect Gateway.
